Variable Resistors and Potentiometers

(Showing 24 of 76)

A variable resistor is a type of resistor whose electrical resistance value can be adjusted as per requirement. The variable resistors are used in an electronic circuit to adjust circuit resistance to control the voltage or current within a circuit. A variable resistor is in essence an electromechanical transducer. When a variable resistor is used as a potential divider by using three terminals it is called a potentiometer.
