ACS712 current sensor IC is an accurate, fully integrated effective Linear Current Sensor IC based on Hall Effect. The ACS712ELCTR-05B-TIC is SOIC8 packagedto give economical and precise solutions for AC or DC current sensing for max 5A current measurement, operating at 5V DC.
For measurement, the device can be plugged to measure both AC and DC voltage at its input and its output which is linear with respect to the measured input showing varied analog voltage as the output.ACS712-5A ensures the device safety standards by incorporating thick copper conductor on the input side for protection from the 3-5 times overcurrent conditions. The device has zero magnetic hysteresis and extremely stable offset voltage.
